Christina “Tina” Duignan, age 95, passed away Friday, November 13, 2020 in Muskegon. She was born April 4, 1925 in Crosshaven Co. Cork, Ireland to Dominic and Christina (Gormley) Duignan and moved to Muskegon in 1964. Christina was a registered nurse, trained in Bolton, Lancashire, England and worked in Quebec, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia, Canada. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and was a frequent volunteer at the Michigan Irish Festival and Feis. Christina enjoyed listening to Irish music, traveling to Florida and Ireland, and baking desserts. She is survived by special friends Tom (Patti) Rabach and his children, Kaitlyn (Andrew) and Colin (Allie); Bill (Bridge) Parsons and family, Sarah (Bobby) and Jon; Mari (Stan) Parsons and family, Skylar (Manouche) and Hayden; niece, Maria Farrell, and several more nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Patrick “Joe” Duignan, Josephine, Gerard, Dehlia, Mae, John, Mary, Cecilia, Shelaigh, and Francis; goddaughter, Kathy (Parsons) Rabach; godson, Frankie Parsons; and special friends, Kathleen (McAuliffe) and Dr. Frank Parsons. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11AM, Saturday, November 21, 2020 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church with Fr. Charles Hall presiding. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the funeral service will be private.
