Irish singer-songwriter Colm Keegan and his wife, Scottish Cellist Laura Durrant, will bring their brand new album, “Live from Dublin”, to the US this Summer of 2023. The award-winning Celtic duo are best known as principal performers in the world-renowned singing group Celtic Thunder. Joining the group in 2011, they have featured on three Celtic Thunder DVDs and four CDs, the CDs repeatedly rocketing to #1 on the Billboard World Music Chart.
Colm & Laura have performed with the group on many of the world’s most prominent stages in the United States, Canada, and Australia, as well as on two Celtic Thunder cruises. With the group, they opened the Chicago St. Patrick’s Day Parade and were featured in a private show at the Pentagon, where Celtic Thunder was invited to perform by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
In August 2014, while still performing with the group, Colm teamed with Celtic Thunder cellist Laura Durrant to embark on his first solo tour, doing shows up and down the east coast of the United States. He also won the 2014 Irish Music Association “Best New Irish Artist.” In late 2016, they released their first solo CD, “I’ll Never Be Alone,” which topped the Amazon and iTunes World Music Charts.
Colm & Laura now live in Glasgow, Scotland, with their three young children balancing family life and careers in music, culture and teaching.
Outside of his award-winning music career with Celtic Thunder and as a solo artist, this multitalented duo have enjoyed a successful career as entrepreneurs promoting Celtic Culture at the forefront of it all.
Colm runs an online teaching enterprise, teaching Irish Language & History to participants online from around the world and, alongside Laura, they run several Bus Tours throughout the year, bringing people overseas to areas around Ireland & Scotland, and has also embarked on a presenting career alongside Glasgow’s Celtic Music Radio where he hosts a weekly radio show.
